Seance & Sensibility for the FT Unconvention

By unusual invitation, The Victorian Values cast will be in attendance in the University of Westminster on both days of the forthcoming Unconvention - hosted by The Fortean Times. Here, they will also unleash a new work as the concluding item on Sunday’s agenda - Seance & Sensibility.  Starring Lord Dashwood, this scene delivers a cautionary tale of meddling with the unknown…

The latest installment of critically acclaimed Victorian Values (a series of classical burlesques) will be ‘unveiled’ on Sunday 2nd November. Written by Mark Carter (Lord Dashwood) and Kirsty Allan (Kitty) this scene is performed by a stunning array of Ministry of Burlesque supremos so prepare to witness the ‘Cabinet of Death’! (more…)

Victorian Values sketches for Bizarre Ball

The Strongman performed with musical accompaniament from Des O’Connor whilst Kitty De Winter-Fairbotham and Granville Fowler performed the infamous Piccadilly Prowler sketch at the first ever Bizarre Ball hosted by Bizarre Magazine.

The hilarious Piccadilly Prowler sketch featuring Kitty De Winter Fairbotham and Granville Fowler was the star attraction at the re-opening of the prestigious Jersey Grand Hotel, a hotel famous for it’s Royal patrongae and Nazi occupation!

A Victorian building, it was fitting that our experimental duo Toff & Tales (Kirsty ‘Kitty’ Allan and Jim Devereaux) were the focal pint of the glitterati guestlist and ITV Channel Islands.

Victorian Values for Cannes Film Festival

Here the famously ostentatious M1NT world of wealth and exuberance meets the very best of vintage entertainment to provide a private party experience for hob-knobbing film festival glitterati at this beautiful 3 acre villa in the heart of the festival.

Victorian Values for London Fashion Week

11th-14th February. Kitty, Dashy and the very cream of Ministry of Burlesque have been invited to host the VIP and press room for the elite and lavish Metropolitan Hotel on Old Park Lane for the forthcoming Fashion Week (11th-14th February).

The infamous Pink Drinks Party on the evening of 12th will also see the Victorian Values cast making a daring show with top theatrical designers including What Katie Did, Yuki (of Yukiness Wigs) and Terry De Havilland couture shoes.

With her own selection of handpicked burly inspired designers, interactive games and tuition featuring performers from Britain’s best, this exclusive 4 day fashion highlight is the word on every fashionista’s pout.

Dashy & Kitty for Britannia Panopticon Trust

Lord Dashwood and Kitty De Winter-Fairbotham appear in Ministry of Burlesque’s High Tease show in order to raise funds for the restoration of the Britannia Panopticon Music Hall in Glasgow. This historic building is the last surviving fully intact Victorian Music hall of it’s kind and the oldest in the UK; it also saw the humble beginnings of many greats including Stan Laurel.

Victorian Values full length show - Hoxton Hall

Part of the Shoreditch Festival, Victorian Values sold out it’s two night debut to a delighted musical hall and burlesque audience. On 8th and 9th August, Hoxton Hall (an original Victorian music Hall) in Shoreditch was proud to host the debut production, Victorian Values.

Created, co-written and directed by Kirsty ‘Kitty’ Allan, this full length burlesque show is a play which sends up Victorian Britain’s system of etiquette, morals and ethics. The show stars the very cream of Kittie’s MoBstars and an original score by Mr. Desmond O’Connor.  Kirsty aslo makes appearances as Britannia and Miss Kitty De Winter-Fairbotham.

Tipped by Time Out as ‘breaking new ground’, this show is argualy the first full length burlesque show in true 19th century style, since Gilbert and Sullivan.
